On October 19-20, 2021, YCB with partners travelled to Toronto to attend the first industry event held since March 2020, the Canadian Meetings and Events Expo (CMEE).
While Ontario gatherings were limiting attendees/vendors to 1000 at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre, YCB and partners found many qualifying leads and enjoyed catching up with past clients.
Less attendees offered the opportunity to discuss more in-depth with each planner about Yukon and what new products and services are available after the 18 month hiatus to large groups/conferences.
YCB and partners also hosted sales calls on the Thursday, October 21 to further connect with clients with future groups looking at Yukon as a destination.
Thank you to Air North, Yukon’s Airline for transporting us safety to the conference.
Thank you to YCB’s partners, Northern Vision Development, Holloway Lodging Corporation, Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre and Air North, Yukon’s Airline for supporting the trade show booth and opportunity to meet with new planners on sales calls.
Thank you to our YCB members who provided delicious and interesting give aways at our booth. Items like Yukon Roasted Coffee from Bean North, Sourdough Starter from Well Bread Culinary School, and delicious kettle corn from Klondike Kettle Corn. These gifts were excitingly received by many organizers.
It was a great first show to attend as our industry opens up and we could not have made it a success without you!
