August 11-13, 2025 – YCB and partners—Air North, Yukon’s Airline, Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre and NVD Yukon Hotels—travelled to Toronto, Ontario, to participate in the Canadian Meetings and Events Expo.
Breaking previous planner attendee records on the first day, the show offered a continuous flow of previous clients, new opportunities, and many conversations about our unique destination.
With Toronto as the home of this conference and tradeshow, YCB and partners were able to connect with planners and clients looking for bucket‑list destinations to wow their incentive groups.
Highlighted information for planners from Ontario were the direct flight routes with Air North and the new Hyatt Place Whitehorse opening.
Monday night welcomed all attendees to the REVEAL Social reception at the CRAFT Beer in downtown Toronto.
Tuesday and Wednesday were spent at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, attending keynote sessions and hosting a booth at the trade show component where Team Yukon offered shared details for hosting events North of Ordinary.
Giving away a Haskap‑flavoured Gummy Sour Toe, Bean North coffee, 1989 Sourdough starter as part of the booth activation, we also held a special draw for Zühr Dihch’e Creations beaded/fur earrings and a Fireweed collection Decanter & whiskey glass set from Lumel Glass studio – focusing on the Yukon’s arts and culture.
Special thanks to YCB member Chef Cat McInroy at Well Bread Culinary School for creating a tasty toe treat for our clients to enjoy and be entertained by our unique Yukon story.
Our partner support ensures YCB’s success in acquiring future meetings and events business for the Yukon.
