October 24-25, 2024

Yukon Convention Bureau (YCB) recently traveled to Vancouver, BC, to participate in the Vancouver Venue Series held at the newly renovated Prophecy Cocktail Bar, at the Rosewood Hotel in downtown and met with a local planner for lunch.

The Venue Series event featured 8-minute speed meetings designed to connect YCB with event planners, allowing us to share the unique advantages of booking events in Yukon. YCB successfully engaged with 32 event planners during these sessions, providing updates on Yukon’s latest developments and introducing our offerings to those unfamiliar with our region.

The day prior, YCB hosted a local sales representative of Ensemble Travel and Millennials in Travel for lunch to learn more about both organizations and leading to an invite to a MIT event in November, aligning with YCB’s current travel plans to attend the Social Pacific Digital Conference on Vancouver’s North Share, November 21.

YCB continues to focus on the Vancouver/lower mainland market due to its significant potential in proximity for business and future meetings and conferences. We look forward to building more relationships and showcasing what Yukon has to offer.

Thank you to YCB partners support.

A special thank you to YCB Partner Air North, Yukon’s Airline for their Vancouver-Whitehorse route being offered on the newest addition to the fleet, the Boeing 737-800’s, and for the donation of 2 roundtrip tickets from Vancouver to Whitehorse as a prize to an event planner at the Venue Series.
