January 28-30, 2024 – The Yukon Convention Bureau travelled to Edmonton, Alberta for the GoWest Conference and Trade show. This year featured the inaugural GoWest Hosted Buyer Program and YCB buying in for the opportunity to meet planners with one-on-one, 15 minute sessions in the Yukon decorated suite on the Sunday, January 28.
YCB met 3 new planners and reconnected with many others during these appointments. This program was in lieu of exhibiting on the trade show floor during the full two day event on January 29-30.
YCB and partners attended the MPI Edmonton Rendezvous event at the Ice District in downtown Edmonton on the Monday and hosted 3 planners for dinner on the Tuesday of conference. Many conference reviews were shared and celebrated over a delicious meal.
YCB looks forward to being back in the Alberta market and continues to look for new opportunities to connect with event planners and decision makers aiming to bring MICE business to the territory.
