YCB Connects with Event Planners at Venue Series in Calgary and Vancouver

The Yukon Convention Bureau (YCB) was proud to participate in Venue Series events in Calgary on September 23, 2026, and Vancouver on September 24, 2026. Together, the events brought 37 event planners from two key Western Canadian markets together for networking, relationship-building, and opportunities to explore destinations and services for future meetings and events.

YCB participated in Calgary’s Happy Hour Edition and Vancouver’s Afternoon Sip Edition, engaging with event professionals and showcasing the Yukon as a distinctive destination for meetings, conferences, and incentive travel.

SHOWCASING THE YUKON AS A MEETINGS AND EVENTS DESTINATION

Across both events, YCB connected with 20 planners in Calgary and 17 in Vancouver, sharing what makes the Yukon an appealing choice for planners looking to create memorable and meaningful events.

From its accessible northern location and competitive value to its remarkable landscapes and authentic experiences, the Yukon offers an alternative to traditional conference destinations. Whether planners are seeking opportunities for team building, connection to nature, or unique experiences that leave a lasting impression, the territory offers something different for delegates.

Participating in Venue Series also allowed YCB to strengthen relationships within the meetings and events industry, address common questions about planning events in the North, and build awareness of the opportunities available throughout the Yukon.

BUILDING CONNECTIONS ACROSS WESTERN CANADA

Engaging directly with event professionals in Calgary and Vancouver remains an important part of YCB’s efforts to increase awareness of the Yukon and develop new opportunities for business events in the territory.

We’re grateful to the Venue Series team and all the event planners who took the time to connect with us. Thank you to Brix and Barrel for hosting the Calgary event, and to Element Event Design, White Table Catering, and Lavish Liquid for their hospitality in Vancouver. We also extend our appreciation to Ignite Magazine, the official media partner for both events.

YCB looks forward to continuing these conversations as they explore more events in 2027.

We look forward to welcoming more planners to discover what makes the Yukon an exceptional destination for meetings and events.
