August 12-14, 2024 – YCB and partners, Air North, Yukon’s Airline, Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre, Sternwheeler Hotel & Conference Centre and Yukon Hotels/NVD, travelled to Toronto, Ontario, to participate in the Canadian Meetings and Events Expo.

Breaking previous planner attendee records on the first day, the show offered a continuous flow of previous clients, new oppourtunities and many conversations about our unique destination.

With Toronto as the home of this conference and tradeshow, YCB and partners were able to connect with planners and clients looking for bucket list destinations to wow their incentive groups.

Monday night welcomed all attendees to the REVEAL Social reception at the CRAFT Beer in downtown Toronto with a new record of 700 attendees.

Tuesday and Wednesday were spent at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, attending keynotes sessions and hosting a booth at the trade show component where team Yukon offered a Dawson City gold nugget to the winners of our #YukonSourToe social media draw.

Giving away a Haskap flavoured Gummy SourToe as part of the booth activation, we asked attendees to post to social media before the end of the tradeshow for a chance to win the Yukon Gold Nugget.

By attaching these gummy toes to a Free Pour Jenny’s cocktail recipe card and offer 4 Yukon flavours of bitters to be added to a sparkling water bottle, YCB was able to showcase another YCB member and create a Gold Rush Era Saloon themed booth. This display caught the eye of many planners who admitted they were too curious to stay away from the booth.

YCB would like to thank our partners, Air North, Yukon’s Airline, Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre, Sternwheeler Hotel & Conference Centre and Northern Vision Development & Yukon Hotels for supporting these Trade shows and sales missions.

Special thanks to YCB member Chef Cat McInroy at Well Bread Culinary school for creating a tasty toe treat for our clients to enjoy and be entertained by our unique Yukon story.

Our partner support ensures YCB’s success in acquiring future meetings and events business for the Yukon.
